Clean Trains and surroundings, The Trains need to pick up some speed, That would make for a beautiful trip.
Typical of American cheap infrastructure and the cold, lifeless cheapness of our tightwad people who never force Contra Costa, or other counties, to create a real public life and a real public infrastructure. This station and this city are another testament to the great and massive uncaring hearts of the cold, cold American people who rationalize away their indifference as our infrastructure crumbles and as the number of marginalized, excluded people doubles every year. Shame on America. Shame on Contra Costa. Shame on NIMBYs for letting this happen. What a 3rd Word dump our social services and transit and government is.
The amtrack itself is a sold 4 stars but the environment is not safe at all!!! If it isnt homeless people harrassing for money its a coke head trying to get his fix in the corner. I have almost been robbed twice and i use it as my main form of transportation to fresno....either the antioch police need to crack down on the area or they need to have security because i never feel safe waiting for the train
Homeless hangout disguising itself as a train station. Dirty, unsafe, no bathrooms. Homeless begging and sleeping everywhere. Beware.
